Located about an hour’s drive from Chiang Mai, this coffee is produced in a lush, mountainous area with a high elevation and a climate well-suited for coffee cultivation. Using the Kenyan-style double-washed process, it features a complex and fruity cup profile.
Arabica cultivation in this region began in the late 1970s as part of a royal project to eradicate opium. The farmers have preserved the Typica variety passed down from their ancestors, now a rare and valuable cultivar. A young couple—formerly a system engineer and a certified public accountant—took over their family farm and have since pursued a clean yet deep flavor by experimenting with various processing and drying methods.
